February 2010: On reaching retirement age, Tonio Casapinta resigned as Managing Director of Casapinta Design Group Ltd and Casapinta Project Management Ltd and was appointed Chairman of both Companies.
During the course of his career, Tonio has interacted continuously with Business and Trade Promotion Organisations, members of the diplomatic community both in Malta and overseas and through his connections at Malta Chamber of Commerce level he has, organised events to promote Malta and facilitate business development between companies and individuals internationally with special emphasis to North Africa and the Gulf States.
1999 Awarded the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bronze Medal
2003 Awarded the “Gratias Agit” Award by the Government of the Czech Republic for services to the country
2009 Awarded the Cross of Commander of the Order “Pro Merito Melitensi” of The Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of St John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta.
